I was pleasantly surprised by the convenient location of the hotel, just a short walk from the old city. The rooms were spacious, well-insulated, and provided a peaceful atmosphere. The breakfast selection was excellent and the complimentary parking lot was a valuable perk. I would highly recommend Mercure for its quality and value.

Location - within a short walk of the historic centre, and right by the river, this hotel is perfect for exploring. Room spacious, stylish and well equipped. We only had one night there but would happily return and stay longer.

The bed was very uncomfortable and the room really needed repainting, there were cracks and peeling paint in both the bedroom, hallway and bathroom

The location was super cool, right next to the city centre of Besancon and the casino garden on the Doubs River. We had a blast exploring the old medieval city and chilling by the river. The staff was totally awesome and hooked us up with everything we needed. And can we talk about the shower cream? It was high quality stuff, so fancy!
The only thing that would have made our stay even more amazing is if there was a sick party scene at the hotel. We were looking for some serious fun and it would've been rad if there was a happening party vibe with live music or something.

The room was absolutely fantastic and with a mini fridge bar, climate control, and an electronic key card at your disposal, excellent view on park. The bed was very comfy, the breakfast food was good. Location: the hotel was adjacent to the historical centre, the night club, and city center and the railway station.
